7 Days to Die Leaving Alpha

In a video posted by TheFunPimps on April 20th, 2024, co-founder Richard Huenink shared some exciting news around the further of 7 Days to Die (shared below). The upcoming Alpha version 22 is slated to be the official release of the game into version 1.0. An official roadmap for the release of version 1.0 is set to be released in Summer 2024. For more progress details and news bits, be sure to follow their Twitter/X page @7DaystoDie and check out their Discord server.

Changes for Console Players

For console players there is also some good news. Shortly after version 1.0 launches TheFunPimps will also be releasing an updated console version of the game. Unfortunately, due to the technical changes that have taken place with the game over the years the existing console version of the game cannot be updated directly to the upcoming version 1.0. This means that you will have to repurchase the console edition once it releases. However, Richard mentioned that they are in discussions with both Sony and Microsoft to offer existing legacy console edition owners a discount for purchasing the upgraded version of the game.
