Grand Theft Auto 6 Announced for 2025

The Announcement
On December 5th, Rockstar unveiled the first trailer for the long-anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA VI). The newest entry in the decades long franchise will take place in the fictitious Vice City, Leonida (roughly Miami, Florida). The main character appears to be a young female convict, named Lucia, who I suppose is out on parole.
Surviving By Being A Team
The trailer goes on to show that her and her boyfriend/husband/partner get involved in petty crimes. There is a line about surviving so it sets up for the story have some sort of serious drama. Perhaps a gang helped her get out of prison and owes them a debt? They really didn’t reveal much in the trailer other than how stunning the world and their cinematics look and that you’re following the story of a female convict. A recurring style of video shown in the trailer is people sharing the equivalent of TikTok videos/shorts.
Launch Details and Trailer
Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to launch in 2025 on the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. There is currently no mention of being able to play the game on PC. If GTA VI is anything like GTA V, then I’m sure it will be a fun and goofy game. Hopefully, they provide more details on the PC availability at launch in the coming year.
