Summer Games Fest 2024 - Day 3
Day 3 of the Summer Games Fest 2024 started off with Xbox showcase. To kick it off, a bombastic trailer for the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was debuted. In an effort to try to increase the monthly player count from an impressive 100 million for the franchise, the next Black Ops game will be releasing on Game Pass in addition to PC and console.
Doom Returns
Following the trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was a surprise trailer for the next Doom game. Launching in 2025, the new game, titled Doom: The Dark Ages, looks like a prequel to the hit game Doom 2016 reboot. Right off the get-go a new mechanic shown off is the use a chainsaw shield. Thematically, the game looks like it may have more a Viking aesthetic to it. Doom: The Dark Ages will support Game Pass, Xbox Series X/S, and PC at launch.
